PLACEMENT ISN'T MAGIC - IT'S MOVEMENT!
How does the sound get from our vocal folds to that perfect spot between the eyes? Or out of the crown of the head? Or into the mask? We're going to go behind-the-scenes in a unique movement-based workshop on April 18!
Placement is a funny concept. We use intention to direct our voice to certain places in our head or on our face to help support our sound. But what happens if you or your student doesn’t feel this? I didn’t! I was the student who felt nothing between the eyes, so I kept trying harder and making my voice tighter.
In this experiential workshop, we will reverse-engineer the process of placement and uncover what movements influence this phenomenon of sympathetic resonance - said more simply, how we direct our voice to vibrate certain bones.
This workshop will have you feeling freer than free! It will give your breath a break as we optimize your resonance system and give the body what it loves and craves - the path of least resistance.
